Ann's story

Ann Hollander, founder of Options for Aging, possesses both personal and professional experience in the field of aging. Ann enjoyed close relationships with her grandmothers, Gladys and
Mimi, who both lived into their 90's.

"They were healthy, active and independent until sudden health events quickly changed the scenario."

As a result, Ann understands the stress and confusion one feels at such a time. “My family felt blindsided. We were completely unprepared. We had no understanding of the difficult decisions and complexities of the elder-care system. This isn’t something you receive training in ahead of time."

Both grandmothers lived into their 90's, however their quality of life was substantially less than what it could

have been if her family had received professional guidance.

With the knowledge gained from her experience, Ann’s passion to help others in similar situations led her to pursue a Master's degree in Gerontology with a focus on dementia care.  She held positions in memory care, assisted living and home care before opening

Options for Aging in 2016.

“My mission is to help families choose the best options and solutions that will optimize independence and quality of life. I treat every client as if they are my family, and I will be there for your family every step of the way.”
